Ingredients

  • 1 Cup urad dal
  • 1 Cup Jaggery
  • 2 tbsp Grated Coconut
  • 1/4 tsp dry ginger powder
  • 1 Cardamom

Directions

  1. Wash and soak the urad dal for an hour.
  2. Then blend the urad dal into a fine, smooth batter.
  3. Add three cups of water to it and mix well.
  4. In a heavy bottom pan add this urad dal mixture and bring to boil.
  5. Once it begins to boil, reduce the flame.
  6. Continue to cook for a few minutes till it gets cooked well.
  7. Add jaggery, dry ginger powder, and cardamom powder.
  8. Turn the stove off.
  9. Add little grated coconut.
  10. Healthy and Tasty Urad dal porridge is ready.
  11. Serve hot.
