Green Peas Gravy | Pattani Masala Recipe is a quick and simple gravy that tastes wonderful with roti or poori. There are numerous ways to cook this dish, including toasting the masala ingredients before grinding them or simply grinding them and sautéing them. Also, we can add additional onions to the tempering process to impart the dish a crunchier texture, or we can use only the ground masala to create a wonderful, delicious and tasty dish.
Ingredients
- 2 Cup Fresh Green Peas
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- a pinch Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 Cinnamon
- 2 Clove
- Oil
- Salt
- Coriander leaves
To grind
- 2 Onions
- 2 Tomato
- a piece ginger
- 5-7 Garlic
- a handful Coriander leaves
- Few Mint leaves
- 3-4 Green Chilli
Directions
- Grind the ingredients listed under ‘To grind’ and keep them ready.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon, clove, bay leaf and let it splutter.
- Add Green peas and saute for a while, then add ground masala with chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt and saute till the raw smell disappears.
- Add water and bring it to a gravy consistency and cook it in low flame for 10 mins.
- Once done, switch off the stove.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with Roti, Chapati, Poori.
