Amla Raita Recipe | Gooseberry Yogurt | Nellikai Thayir Pachadi is a vitamin c rich, healthy, easy and simple recipe prepared with Indian gooseberry. A popular traditional Tambrahm cuisine, nellikai pachadi or amla raita goes well with all kulambu, lunch, and some breakfast items like adai.
Ingredients
- 3 nos Amla
- 1 Cup Curd
- 1 Green chilli
- 1 – 2 tbsp Grated coconut
- 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- Few Curry leaves
- asafetida
- Salt
Directions
- Take a cup of curd in a bowl and beat well.
- Cut and Discard Amla seeds.
- Add Amla, green chilli, coconut, cumin seeds with some salt in mixie and grind well.
- Can add little water if required.
- Then add the mixture with the curd.
- Heat oil in a pan, temper with mustard, urad dal, asafetida and few curry leaves.
- Add it to the amla curd mixture.
- Mix well.
- Healthy and tasty Amla Raita Recipe / Nellikai Thayir Pachadi is ready to serve.
