Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Moong Dal
  • 3 tbsp Grated Coconut
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 2 Red Chilli
  • A pinch asafoetida
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil

Directions

  1. Wash and Soak Moong dal for 10 to 20 mins.
  2. Drain water and steam it in an idli steamer for 15 to 20 mins in medium flame.
  3. Check it by pressing it with your finger.
  4. Once cooked, switch off the flame.
  5. Heat a spoon of oil in a pan, temper with mustard seeds, urad dal, red chilli, asafetida and curry leaves.
  6. Add salt, Steam cooked Moong dal and stir for a minute.
  7. Switch off the Stove.
  8. Add grated Coconut.
  9. Mix well gently.
  10. Healthy and Tasty Moong dal Sundal is Ready to Serve.
