Ragi Halwa | Kelvaragu Sweet | Millet Recipe is a healthy and Delicious Ragi Recipe. Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Ragi
  • 10 Cashew
  • 10 Dry Grapes (optional)
  • 3-5 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 Cup Jaggery

Directions

  1. Wash and Soak ragi for 10 hours.
  2. In a pan add jaggery with little water.
  3. Boil for a few minutes and filter it to remove impurities, keep aside ready.
  4. Drain water from soaked ragi, wash it once again and grind in well.
  5. Extract the milk using cloth and grind the remaining again by adding little water.
  6. Filter and Extract ragi milk, add together with the first extract milk.
  7. Do it one more time and extract milk.
  8. Mix all together, Discard the remaining.
  9. In a heavy bottom pan add little ghee and roast cashew and dry grapes, transfer it to plates.
  10. Then in the same pan add extracted ragi milk and boil it.
  11. Stir Continuously in medium low flame without forming lumps.
  12. When it gets thicken, add jaggery syrup and keep stirring.
  13. Add Ghee in between little by little.
  14. Continuously keep stirring till we get a nice glossy texture and when it leaves the sides of the pan.
  15. Add Roasted Cashew and Dry grapes.
  16. Mix all together.
  17. Healthy and Delicious Millet Ragi Halwa is Ready.
