Ingredients

  • 1 cup Horsegram / Kollu
  • 2 tbsp Rice
  • 1/4 tsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 10 Shallot / Small onions
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 2 tbsp Grated Coconut
  • Few Coriander leaves
  • Few Curry leaves
  • Salt

Directions

  1. Dry roast Horse gram in a heavy bottom kadai till we get a nice aroma and it gets roasted well.
  2. Then transfer it to a plate and dry roast rice.
  3. Let them cool.
  4. Grind both horsegram and rice together Coarsely.
  5. Then in a pot add horsegram rava with two to three cups of water and boil it.
  6. Once cooked well add salt and mash it if required.
  7. In a pan add oil, mustard seeds, chopped onions, green chilli, curry leaves and saute for a while.
  8. Once it gets transculate switch off the stove and add it to cooked Horsegram porridge and mix well.
  9. Atlast add grated coconut.
  10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and Serve warm.
