Neer Dosa Recipe is a thin, watery dosa without fermentation. It’s a great tiffin recipe with coconut chutney or with any spicy side dish. Neer Dosa is a soft instant dosa prepared by Just soaking rice flour or rice and grinding it to get the batter. Rice is the only ingredient to make a perfect Neer dosa. If you are using rice flour then just soak rice flour in water for an hour and prepare dosa.

NEER-DOSA-RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice (Sonamasuri)
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • 2 Cups Water (1/2 Cup additional if required based on the rice variety)

Directions

  1. Just wash and soak Rice in water for 2 to 3 hours.
  2. Drain the soaked water and grind it to a fine smooth batter with little water.
  3. Once done, transfer the batter to a container, add salt and the remaining water.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Heat a Cast Iron dosa tawa, Spread oil on it.
  6. Rather than spreading the batter evenly on the heated tawa, splatter it with the ladle to make a lacy look.
  7. Splatter the dosa batter into the outer circle first, then fill it in.
  8. Close the tawa and cook for one or two minutes on medium to low heat.
  9. Don’t flip, once cooked the edges will get separated from the tawa.
  10. Remove it from the flames and transfer to a plate.
  11. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
