Korma Recipe | Easy Vegetable Kurma is a simple kurma recipe made without grinding masala. Generally kurma / Korma / Kuruma is prepared by grinding some spice ingredients with coconut. But in this recipe we can see simple, easy and tasty kurma without grinding any fresh masala. We can do this vegetable korma recipe using ginger garlic paste and coconut milk.
Ingredients
- 1 Carrot
- 1 Boiled Potato
- 5-8 Beans
- 1/4 Cup Green Peas
- 4-5 Cauliflower Florets
- 1 Onion
- 2 Green Chilli
- 2 Tomato
- 1/2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- a pinch Turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/4 Cup Coconut Milk
- Few Mint leaves
- 1 Cinnamon
- 2 Clove
- 1 Bay leaves
- 1/4 tsp poppy seeds
- Salt
- Oil
Directions
- Fine chop all the vegetables, mash potatoes, slit green chilli, put cauliflower florets in hot water mixed with turmeric and salt.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon, clove, bay leaves and poppy seeds, let them sizzle in low flame.
- Then add green chilli and onion, saute well till onions get translucent.
- Add other vegetables with tomato, mint leaves and ginger garlic paste, saute in medium low flame till vegetables get half cooked and raw smell disappears.
- Cover with a lid and cook.
- Now, Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and stir.
- Add mashed potato and required water, cook till everything gets cooked well.
- Finally add Coconut milk and just let it boil once.
- Switch off the stove.
- Garnish with Coriander leaves.
- Tasty Veg Kuruma is Ready
- Serve hot with roti, idiyappam, idli or veg rice.
