Barnyard Millet Dosa | Kuthiraivali Dosai is a healthy millet breakfast recipe. Kuthiraivali Dosa dishes can help people lose weight and manage diabetes. Depending on the amount of refined and bran, barnyard millet comes in a range of colours from grey to white. To make this dosa recipe, we can use polished, semi polished or unpolished barnyard millet.

Ingredients

  • 4 Cup Barnyard Millet Rice
  • 1 Cup Urad dal
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • Oil
  • Salt

Directions

  1. Wash and Soak Barnyard Millet Rice with fenugreek for 2 hours. Wash and soak urad dal for 1 hour. Grind urad dal to a fine batter and transfer it to a bowl.
  2. Then grind barnyard millet with fenugreek to a fine batter.
  3. Mix both the batter together with salt.
  4. Beat well for a few minutes.
  5. Close and keep aside to ferment.
  6. After 7 to 10 hours of fermentation, heat the dosa tawa and spread the batter circular.
  7. Add oil.
  8. Flip dosa on both sides, which is optional or close it and cook.
  9. Barnyard Millet dosa is ready to serve with chutney and sambar.
