Kavuni Rice Sweet Porridge Karuppu Kavuni Kanji Black Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Black Kavuni rice
  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • Salt / Jaggery

Directions

  1. Quick rinse Black Kavuni Rice once or twice.
  2. Then soak Black Rice Kavuni (Karuppu Gowni rice) six hours with a cup of clean water.
  3. After six hours filter the soaked water and keep it aside.
  4. Coasely grind the black rice in the mixie like rava.
  5. In a pot add broken karuppu kavuni rice with a cup of water and the soaked water.
  6. Adjust the water level according to your preference.
  7. Let it boil.
  8. To prevent sticking, stir with a ladle often.
  9. Once it gets cooked well switch off the stove.
  10. Add coconut milk.
  11. Mix well, add salt or Jaggery as per taste.
  12. Perfect weight loss breakfast Kavuni rice porridge is ready to serve.
