Cabbage Spicy Poriyal | Muttaikose Masala Curry Recipe is a great combination for sambar rice and curd rice. Just adding a little chilli powder and turmeric powder with cabbage makes an excellent masala curry recipe. We can also add sambar powder instead of chilli powder and few tomatoes to get a sweet, tangy taste too.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cup Chopped Cabbage
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • a pinch Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard
  • Salt
  • Oil

Directions

  1. Remove the outer layer of the cabbage, wash it well and fine chop it.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard, add curry leaves, chopped cabbage.
  3. Saute it in a high flame for two to three minutes.
  4. Then reduce the flame, cover and cook for five to seven minutes.
  5. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and saute for a few minutes till cabbage gets cooked well.
  6. Once done, switch off the stove.
  7. Cabbage spicy poriyal is ready.
  8. Serve hot with rice, sambar.
