Idly Upma | Leftover Idli recipe is a simple, easy and hot leftover recipe. For breakfast and dinner, it tastes well served either by itself or with any tiffin side dish, like chutney or sambar. Add any vegetables of your choice, such as carrots, to make it more nutrient-dense.
Ingredients
- 5-6 Idli
- 1 Onion
- 3 Green Chilli
- Few Curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Crushed Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2 tsp Urad dal
- Salt
- Oil
Directions
- Take leftover idli and just sprinkle some water over it.
- Crumble idli using hands.
- Chop Onions, slit green chilli.
- Heat oil in a pan, temper mustard seeds, add urad dal, curry leaves, and then chopped onions, green chilli.
- Saute till onions get translucent.
- Once done, add pepper powder, crushed cumin seeds, little salt for onion and mix all well.
- Add crumbled idli and stir well for one or two minutes.
- Hot, easy and tasty idli upma is ready.
