Neer Dosa Recipe is a thin, watery dosa without fermentation. It’s a great tiffin recipe with coconut chutney or with any spicy side dish. Neer Dosa is a soft instant dosa prepared by Just soaking rice flour or rice and grinding it to get the batter. Rice is the only ingredient to make a perfect Neer dosa. If you are using rice flour then just soak rice flour in water for an hour and prepare dosa.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice (Sonamasuri)
- Salt
- Oil
- 2 Cups Water (1/2 Cup additional if required based on the rice variety)
Directions
- Just wash and soak Rice in water for 2 to 3 hours.
- Drain the soaked water and grind it to a fine smooth batter with little water.
- Once done, transfer the batter to a container, add salt and the remaining water.
- Mix well.
- Heat a Cast Iron dosa tawa, Spread oil on it.
- Rather than spreading the batter evenly on the heated tawa, splatter it with the ladle to make a lacy look.
- Splatter the dosa batter into the outer circle first, then fill it in.
- Close the tawa and cook for one or two minutes on medium to low heat.
- Don’t flip, once cooked the edges will get separated from the tawa.
- Remove it from the flames and transfer to a plate.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney.
