Coriander Chutney Recipe | Malli Chutney is a healthy and tasty chutney recipe, goes well with any tiffin variety or even with hot rice and ghee added. I used grated coconut in this simple recipe, but you could instead use roasted peanuts if you prefer.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Fresh Coriander leaves
- 3 tbsp grated coconut
- a small piece Ginger
- a small piece tamarind
- 2 green Chilli
- 1/2 tbsp Urad dal
- 1/4 tsp mustard
- a pinch asafoetida
- Oil
- Salt
Directions
- Take clean, roots removed coriander leaves, wash it 2 to 3 times and drain it.
- In a pan, heat oil, add mustard, wait till it splutters, then add urad dal and let it turn golden.
- Add asafetida, small piece tamarind, green chilli, ginger and just give a stir.
- Then add coriander leaves and saute just a minute, add grated coconut, salt and switch off the stove.
- Transfer it to a plate to cool.
- Grind it smoothly with little required water.
- Coriander Chutney is Ready.
- Serve with hot idli, bonda, vada, dosa.
