Little Millet Kulipaniyaram Recipe | Samai Kuzhi Paniyaram is a simple and healthy evening snacks prepared with millets. Little Millet can be substituted with any millet in this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Little Millet
- 1/3 Cup Urad dal
- 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds
- 1 tbsp any flakes
- 1 Onion
- 2 tbsp Grated Coconut
- Few Curry leaves
- Few Coriander leaves
- Oil
- 1/4 tsp Mustard
- 1/4 tsp Urad dal
- Salt
Directions
- Wash and Soak little millet 2 hours.
- Wash and soak urad dal with fenugreek for 1 to 2 hours.
- After 2 hours add urad dal with fenugreek in a blender and grind well.
- Transfer it to a container.
- Add drained little millet with any flakes and grind well in a blender with required water.
- Mix it with urad dal batter.
- Add salt and mix them well with hands.
- Leave it aside closed to ferment for 6 to 8 hrs.
- In a pan add a spoon of oil, temper mustard and urad dal.
- After that, add curry leaves and chopped onions and continue to sauté.
- Add this into the batter and give a mix.
- Heat Kulipaniyaram pan, grease little oil, then add little batter in all.
- Add oil, close and cook for a while.
- Then turn it around and cook till the outer layer gets roasted well.
- Remove it from flame and Serve hot with Chutney.
