Pearl millet flour is a common flour that is typically found on the kitchen shelf in most homes. A delightful and healthy kara sev that is good for everyone can be made by simply combining kambu flour with urad dal flour and fried gram flour.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Pearl Millet Flour
- 1/4 cup Urad dal
- 2 tbsp Fried gram
- 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Crushed pepper
- 1 tbsp Butter
- Salt
Directions
- Grind Fried gram in a mixie and sieve it.
- Cook Urad dal and keep it ready.
- Once urad dal gets cool add it to a blender and grind it to a fine paste.
- In a bowl add Pearl Millet Flour, fried gram powder, Urad dal paste, chilli powder, coriander powder, crushed pepper, salt and butter.
- Mix all together, add water little by little and make a dough.
- Divide the dough and make an oval shape out of it to fill the kara sev press.
- Heat oil in a Kadai.
- Press it in the oil.
- Flip and fry both sides till the sound gets reduced.
- Remove it from the flames.
- Spicy and tasty Pearl Millet Kara Sev is Ready to Serve.
- Once it gets cool, store it in an airtight container.
