A delightful and healthy kara sev that is good for everyone can be made by simply combining kambu flour with urad dal flour and fried gram flour.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Pearl Millet Flour
  • 1/4 cup Urad dal
  • 2 tbsp Fried gram
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed pepper
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • Salt

Directions

  1. Grind Fried gram in a mixie and sieve it.
  2. Cook Urad dal and keep it ready.
  3. Once urad dal gets cool add it to a blender and grind it to a fine paste.
  4. In a bowl add Pearl Millet Flour, fried gram powder, Urad dal paste, chilli powder, coriander powder, crushed pepper, salt and butter.
  5. Mix all together, add water little by little and make a dough.
  6. Divide the dough and make an oval shape out of it to fill the kara sev press.
  7. Heat oil in a Kadai.
  8. Press it in the oil.
  9. Flip and fry both sides till the sound gets reduced.
  10. Remove it from the flames.
  11. Spicy and tasty Pearl Millet Kara Sev is Ready to Serve.
  12. Once it gets cool, store it in an airtight container.
