Ingredients
- 3 Tomato
- 2 Onion
- 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
- a pinch Turmeric powder
- a small piece tamarind
- Few Curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp Mustard
- Salt
- Oil
Directions
- Fine Chop Onion and Tomato.
- Soak Tamarind with little water to extract pulp.
- Heat 2-3 spoons of sesame oil in a pan, splutter mustard, then add onion and curry leaves.
- Saute till onions get translucent.
- Add Tomato and saute till it gets soft and mushy.
- Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and mix well in a medium flame.
- Add tamarind extract and cook for a few more minutes till it gets a little thick like thokku.
- Switch off the stove.
- Serve hot with rice or with any tiffin varieties.
