Tomato Soup | Thakkali Soup Recipe is a tasty and nutritious soup recipe. When making soup, corn flour is frequently used as a thickening agent, which is harmful for our intestines and digestive systems. Therefore, I use rice starch water from thooya malli cooked rice, which is rich in nutrients and has the viscosity of a thick soup.
Ingredients
- 4 Tomato
- 1 Cup Rice Starch water (Thooyamalli Rice Cooked water)
- 1 Bay leaf
- 3 Clove
- 1 Cardamom
- a small piece Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Ghee
- Pepper powder
- Salt
Directions
- First we need to blanch Tomatoes by boiling the whole tomato in water, cooling it and then peeling the skin.
- Then make puree out of it by just grinding it in mixie.
- In a pan heat ghee, add cinnamon, cardamom, clove, bay leaf and wait till they sizzle.
- Add tomato puree and boil it.
- When it starts to boil add rice starch water with little water as required.
- Reduce flame and boil for a few more minutes.
- Add Salt and Pepper powder, Switch off the Stove.
- Delicious and Aromatic Tomato Soup is Ready.
- Serve hot.
