Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Rice (Thanga Samba Rice)
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Coconut
  • 2 Green Chilli
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • 1 tbsp crushed ginger
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Urad dal
  • 8-10 Roasted Cashew
  • Coconut Oil
  • Salt
Thanga Samba Rice Traditional Rice

Directions

  1. Wash and Soak Thanga Samba Rice for 20 mins.
  2. Cook Rice with 1 cup of water.
  3. Once cooked, add a little coconut oil, gently mix and spread rice on a plate.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, temper with mustard seeds, urad dal and wait till thy splutter and turn golden.
  5. Add red chilli, green chilli, crushed ginger, curry leaves and saute for a minute.
  6. Then add grated coconut and toss it well for just a minute.
  7. Switch off the Stove.
  8. Add salt, cooked rice with roasted cashew and mix all well gently.
  9. Thanga Samba Coconut Rice is Ready.
  10. Serve Fresh for more benefits with any lightweight vegetable fries.
