Mint Chutney Recipe | Pudina Chutney is a nutritious and appetizing condiment that is served with idli, dosa, snacks or hot rice that has been combined with ghee.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup fresh Mint leaves
- 1 Onion
- 1 Green Chilli
- 2 tbsp grated coconut
- a pinch asafoetida
- 1/4 tsp mustard
- 1 tbsp urad dal
- a small piece tamarind
- Oil
- Salt
Directions
- Clean and wash mint leaves, then drain it and keep aside.
- In a pan, heat oil, add mustard, wait for the mustard to splutter, then add urad dal, wait till it turns golden.
- Then add asafetida, tamarind, green chilli, chopped onion and fry for a few minutes.
- Add mint leaves and just stir for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Atlast add grated coconut, salt and switch off the stove.
- Once it is cool, transfer it to a blender and grind finely with little water required.
- Pudina Chutney | Mint Chutney is ready to serve with Idli, dosa and rice.
