Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Moong dal
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • a pinch asafetida
  • Salt

To Temper

  • Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 2-3 Red Chilli

Directions

  1. Wash Moong dal well and soak it for a few minutes.
  2. Then in a pot add 2-3 cups of water and cook moong dal with little turmeric powder, asafetida till it gets cooked well and soft.
  3. Once cooked well, just mash it, add salt.
  4. Transfer it to a serving bowl.
  5. Now heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, let it sizzle.
  6. Add red chilli, curry leaves and immediately Switch off the stove.
  7. Pour this tadka on the mashed moong dal preparation.
  8. Dal Tadka is Ready.
  9. Serve hot with roti, chapati.
