Kasi Halwa Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Cup Ash Gourd
  • 3/4 Cup Jaggery
  • 2 -3 Ghee
  • a pinch Cardamom
  • 5 – 7 Cashews

Directions

  1. Remove ash gourd skin, seeds and Keep the soft flesh from it.
  2. Grate Ash Gourd and Keep aside.
  3. First roast the cashews in two spoons of ghee in a heavy-bottomed kadai, then transfer them to plates.
  4. Then, place the grated ash gourd in the same kadai and cook it until the water on it is absorbed.
  5. Once the ash gourd softens and all the water has been absorbed, add the jaggery powder and well combine.
  6. Keep stirring in medium flame when it gets melted and mixed to ash gourd.
  7. Add cardamom, remaining ghee and cook it till it starts to leave the sides of the kadai.
  8. Once finished, stir in the roasted cashews.
  9. Healthy and Tasty Kasi Halwa is Ready.
