Ingredients
- 1 Cup Barnyard Millet
- 1 Onion
- 1/2 Cup boiled Green Peas
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1 tbsp pepper powder
- 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Oil / Ghee
- Salt
Directions
- Wash and soak Barnyard Millet for 20 mins.
- In a pot, heat 5 cups of water.
- Add drained barnyard millet into the pot.
- Once it starts to boil, reduce the flame to medium.
- Let it boil for 5-7 mins, stir once in a while.
- Once it gets cooked well, check and switch off the stove.
- Immediately drain the excess water.
- Add a tbsp of oil to the cooked barnyard millet.
- In a kadai/pan add oil/ghee, crushed garlic, chopped onions and saute for a while till onions get golden.
- Then add boiled green peas and saute for a while.
- Add pepper powder, salt and cooked barnyard millet.
- Gently Mix well.
- Switch off the stove, Close it with the lid and leave it for 5 to 10 mins.
- Then open it, add lemon juice and mix well gently.
- Healthy and Tasty Barnyard Millet Peas Pulao is Ready to Serve.
