Ingredients
- 1/2 tbsp Thippili
- 1/2 tbsp Karunjeeragam
- 1/2 tbsp Sitharathai
- 2 tbsp Pepper
- 10 Garlic Cloves
- 2 inch Dry Ginger
- little old roasted Tamarind
- 2 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
- Salt
- Sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- Few Curry leaves
Directions
- Peel Garlic, crush dry ginger, extract tamiarind water by soaking it and keep them ready aside.
- Add sesame oil in a pan and roast thippili, karunjeeragam, sitharathai, pepper, garlic and dry ginger separately.
- Then grind them together, add tamarind water and salt to it with coriander powder, turmeric powder.
- Mix the spices water well.
- Heat oil in a pan, temper mustard, cumin seeds with curry leaves.
- Then add spices water and bring to boil.
- Once it begins to boil, lower the heat and continue cooking until the mixture thickens.
- Marundhu Kuzhambu is ready.
- Serve hot with rice.
