Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Moong Dal
- 3 tbsp Grated Coconut
- 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Urad dal
- 2 Red Chilli
- A pinch asafoetida
- Curry leaves
- Salt
- Oil
Directions
- Wash and Soak Moong dal for 10 to 20 mins.
- Drain water and steam it in an idli steamer for 15 to 20 mins in medium flame.
- Check it by pressing it with your finger.
- Once cooked, switch off the flame.
- Heat a spoon of oil in a pan, temper with mustard seeds, urad dal, red chilli, asafetida and curry leaves.
- Add salt, Steam cooked Moong dal and stir for a minute.
- Switch off the Stove.
- Add grated Coconut.
- Mix well gently.
