Ragi Ambali | Finger Millet Ambli Recipe is a fermented Karnataka dish served as a light and nourishing morning drink. I used traditional Sorna masuri rice starch for this dish, but you can substitute any rich starch of your choice.
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Ragi Flour
- 1/2 Cup Rice Starch water
- Salt
Directions
- In a pot add Ragi flour, salt with 1 cup of water, mix well without lumps.
- Cook it for around 10 minutes till it gets cooked well by stirring continuously without forming lumps.
- Once cooked well let it get cool.
- Then add rice starch water, mix well and leave it to ferment overnight in an earthen pot.
- Mix well and consume next day morning directly or with buttermilk, small onion added which are optional.
