Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Kavuni Rice Rava (broken)
  • 1 Cup Thick Coconut Milk
  • 1 Cup Diluted Coconut Milk
  • 1 Cup Jaggery Powder
  • a pinch cardamom powder
  • 10 Cashew
  • 1 tbsp Ghee

Directions

  1. Take some broken Kavuni rice, wash it once if necessary, add some water, and let it soak for 30 minutes.
  2. Extract coconut milk in the meanwhile and keep it ready.
  3. Take 1 cup thick coconut milk and 1 Cup diluted coconut milk.
  4. Heat the ghee in a heavy-bottomed pot, roast the cashews, and then remove it from the heat.
  5. Add broken kavuni rice, 3/4 cup water to the same pot and boil it.
  6. Once it begins to boil, turn down the heat and continue cooking for 15 to 25 minutes, or until it turns tender.
  7. Add the diluted coconut milk, cardamom powder, and jaggery powder after that.
  8. Once it begins to boil again, turn off the heat and stir in the thick coconut milk and the roasted cashews.
  9. Tasty Kavuni Rice Payasam is Ready.
