Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Jowar Flour
  • 1 Cup Jaggery
  • a pinch Cardamom
  • 1/4 Cup Ghee
  • 1 Cup Milk

Directions

  1. In a pan add 1/2 cup of water with jaggery, let it dissolve, then filter and keep it ready.
  2. Heat 3 spoonfuls of ghee in a heavy bottom pan, add jowar flour and roast in medium flame.
  3. Stir continuously till we get a nice aroma and its color changes slightly.
  4. Then add milk with half cup of water and stir continuously without forming lumps.
  5. When it gets thick add jaggery syrup and continue stirring.
  6. Add a spoonful of ghee in between every few minutes.
  7. Stir continuously and mix all well without forming lumps.
  8. Once it gets thick and cooked well, add remaining ghee and mix well.
  9. Transfer it to a ghee applied tray and flatten it.
  10. Aromatic, Healthy Jowar Halwa is Ready.
  11. Cut into pieces and Serve.
